The fourth XP Day North America returned to Toronto, this time at the CNIB Centre, on May 12, 2007. We invited Brian Marick, Gil Broza and Green Pepper Software to join us and remember what XP projects tend to forget.
Brian started the day by revising the Agile Manifesto, adding four key areas he feels were missing: discipline, skill, ease and joy. While the framers of the manifesto certainly had these things in mind, they chose not to write them down, causing projects to suffer. By reminding us of these things, Brian hopes we will carry them forward in our practice and approach to teaching others about XP.
Tutorials included an introduction to XP with the Theory of Constraints and an answer to the question, “Where do I start?” with a new XP project.
